New Items or config gets lost with mutiple tabs

I tried to select categroy problem, but it didnt let me,
so i post it as an idea to repair this ;)

New Items or config gets lost with mutiple tabs using an extension like tab wrangler.
this is very annoying: I bought the product/extension, finding it helpful, but often(!) my settings dont get saved or overwritten(?), when i work with multiple tabs open . it may have to do with tab deactivators/ like tab wrangler. Maybe not. ;(
There should be a way to not only leave the config , but intentionally save the configuration externally in a sep. file, just in case.
